imagine a surprise birthday picnic in the greens under a tree decorated with red floating balloons. food on the mat outside and boardgames in the tent inside, a windy day where some of your friends are flying kites too. i yearn for this but has been pondering on where is the ideal location and how am i gg to get the balloons up on the tree. if i could get a swing fixed on the tree it will be great too. lol.

bake a cake

if you got an oven at home why not try baking a cake for your love ones? do not have an oven? no worries, theres also a no bake cheese cake which you can make =) i have tried the no bake cheese cake, not too bad i must say. hee. anyway my boyfriend was happy that he received something handmade by me at last. lol

i recommend cake recipes from kraft. you can try it too!

magic tricks

before mrboardgames was known as mrboardgames, he was mr magician. lol. one of the unforgettable magic surprise that he had given me was during our first valentine day celebration at jack's place. while waiting for our food to arrive, he surprised me by folding me a paper rose with the available paper napkin provided by the restaurant, and thereafter he let the paper rose float in mid air. it did not stop here, he took out his lighter and set the paper rose on fire and viva bloom, the paper rose transform to a real stalk of rose.

i was surprised and worried at the same time as the fire set was quite noticeable, i guess the couples around our table were surprised too. definitely a sweet memory for me to behold now =)

too lazy to do a scrap book but still wanna give something memorable to your love ones? why not try out photo books? photo books are professionally printed out photo albums. they are popular in america and are now gaining popularity here in singapore. if you are familiar with iphoto for mac users, the photo albums are somewhat similar with the iphoto photo albums.

the photo book maybe a story of friendship, love or travel journals etc. to create an amazing photo book you need to have good photographs so it requires quite some effort in selecting the photos for the book. note there will be a waiting time (in terms of days) for collection of the gift.

board games (might not necessary contain a board lol) are definitely great gift ideas (mrboardgames nods head) lol. you may be skeptical at first and may think that board games are old fashioned? just like me initially. but if you are willing to take the first step and try them, you will be surprised!
